You don’t need to switch up the venue every year to keep an annual company gala fresh. Just take it from The Renaissance Group, who has entertained its loyal staff with the many faces of Belle Mer for six years and counting.

The Renaissance Group had their first company “Annual Affair” at Belle Mer six years ago, originally drawn to the venue’s natural beauty, location, and variety of spacious settings. Six years later, Belle Mer remains their top choice, now with additional draws like the relationships formed with Longwood’s dedicated and collaborative planners, who are always excited to brainstorm how to top the previous year’s corporate event with new trends and novel themes.
The Big Little Things
Keeping Cocktail Hour Fresh
The evening always begins in the Island House, where the guest count of 300 feels like much less with the house’s vast open spaces matched with soft and intimate features inside and out, like the illuminated fountains and rose garden. This year, one of the novel “aha” elements was ice sculptures along the raw bar that had pockets to hold shrimp cocktail “shooters.”
Dinner & an Anticipated Show
A few steps from the Island House, the scenic Water Salon then welcomes guests each year to the plated dinner. It’s an elaborate, formal affair featuring signature dishes from our culinary team such as filet mignon and butter-poached lobster. But following the formal dinner, one of the reasons Renaissance Group loves this annual event is because it’s an opportunity for them to let loose together on the dance floor. Each year, they bring back the same act, Steve Anthony and Persuasion, a reggae-infused cover band out of Rhode Island, to dance the night away.
