Ceremony & Reception
Jane and Geoff knew that Boston traffic, especially on a weekend, wasn't something they wanted their guests to have to factor in on their wedding day. So the fact that Alden Castle could host both the wedding ceremony and the reception was key. And even though the day was all under one roof, the Modern Club ceremony looked so distinctly different from the Vintage Ballroom reception, the couple and guests were treated to two very different events within the celebration.
Light Touches
Alden Castle's unique architecture and location allow for lighting to enhance different moments in time. During the ceremony in the intimate Modern Club, diffused lighting from the overcast day filtered through the giant windows and caught in the gossamer fabric of Jane’s veil and her organza gown, creating a soft halo of light around her and Geoff as they said their vows. During cocktails and dinner in the Vintage Ballroom, the lighting changed again, this time, the ballroom was cast in dim golden light from the chandeliers and burning candles placed throughout the room.
