The regal Tudor details of Alden Castle, like the casement windows and gargoyles, created an Old World atmosphere that blended beautifully with the traditional Armenian details incorporated in the christening of Remon & Genevieve’s baby girl.

- Upstairs balcony for mingling | Pink & white rose arrangements
In Armenian culture, christenings are no small matter. They are seen as just as significant and involve just as much planning as a wedding. For the Karians, the Old-World glow of Alden Castle’s spacious ballroom coupled with ornate details helped them embrace that sense of tradition, grace, and honor for this meaningful moment with their daughter and the 150 guests.
The Big Little Things
Meaningful Details
Part of creating the Old World atmosphere came from the decor added to the Vintage Ballroom. The clean white table linens with modern lace embroidery mirrored the baby’s traditional white christening dress. The many illuminated votives on each table allowed the glitter of Genevieve’s hand-lettered place cards and menus to sparkle, while also casting a warm golden light across the entire celebration.
Flexible Layout
The layout of the Vintage Ballroom allowed for the creation of smaller sections within the event. The recently renovated upstairs lounge and balcony area was converted into a cocktail area where guests could step away from the main event and mingle with others while snacking on antipasto and hors d’oeuvres.
