Our meeting venues pride themselves on their own unique look derived from their respective locations and histories. They are the polar opposite of typical, mundane meeting spaces found in hotels and conference centers: with no windows, no character, and no relation to the outside world. Longwood venues are an experience in and of themselves. To surprise their meeting guests, our legacy clients often switch up the venues. All our venues strictly adhere to our high standards.
How much of a different look can one brand create, you might rightfully ask. Let’s compare our urban venues.
STATE ROOM, BOSTON
Our minimalist event space in downtown Boston, the State Room, exudes a feeling of being on top of the world, which instantly boosts excitement, motivation, and creativity in your guests. State Room covers 33,000 sq ft of luxury event space 33 floors above ground. Our feature room, the Great Room, boasts a 100 ft wide by a 20ft high glass wall that showcases the stunning Boston skyline. The interconnected meeting rooms at State Room can combine to create an unlimited number of configurations for flow – always with the view. For power meetings, or whenever you want to impress, choose State Room.
ALDEN CASTLE, BROOKLINE
Alden Castle, our original event venue, is surrounded by the greenery of the Emerald Necklace parks. It was built in 1918 in the English Tudor style and exudes a feeling of history and tradition that supports you to confidently rise above your comfort zone while you brainstorm, innovate, and create.
Alden Castle boasts two separate, historic event spaces in two opposite wings of the castle. In the right wing, the Modern Club offers a more formal feel with original wood paneling, beautifully balanced by its gold leafed ceiling and Murano glass chandeliers. Modern Club is ideal for lectures, presentations, pharmaceutical product launches, board meetings, and intimate networking evenings. In the left wing, the Vintage Ballroom is much more feminine with layers of off-white colors and delicate iron chandeliers (also off-white). Vintage Ballroom lends itself best to lively discussions, panels, larger meetings, and presentations, as well as larger business gatherings.
Our legacy clients like to book Vintage Ballroom for daytime activities and move to the Modern Club for the post meeting reception.
